Intermittent Closures in the Myra Canyon during 2018

Posted Jan 25, 2018 -- Notice affecting the Myra Canyon Area -- No update as of Sept 21, 2018 -- BC Parks is implementing their planned 10-year maintenance of the Myra Canyon trestles, beginning May 1, 2018 and ending in the fall of 2018. The work includes inspections, rock scaling and structural repairs to various trestles as required. Visitors should expect limited access such as delays and closures in the work site area while worker are working above the trail or on the Trestles. In some locations a bypass trail route will be available. This trail will be well marked, however, traction and slope on these trails will be challenging and not suited for bicycles and strollers. More information and a schedule will be posted as it becomes available. Work is scheduled to be completed on weekdays and to avoid weekends and holidays unless circumstances prevent this. BC Parks apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. If you need to bypass the entire canyon, check our alternate route that is normally used by equestrian users.
