Greenways for All Research

 

This research, funded by the Real Estate Foundation of British Columbia and the Vancouver Foundation is focused on equity-related issues regarding active transportation. The areas of focus pertains to marginalized folks to explore how active transportation infrastructure is treated differently based on where you live, your ethnicity, your identity, and your level of income.

The Greenways for All Research is largely foundational, a lot of the areas that were explored did not have a whole lot of information available. The majority of research done in regards to active transportation infrastructure in Canada, focuses on individuals that commute during an average work week (M-F, 9am-5pm).

We would like to thank everyone that participated in this research. Whether through interviews, or by pointing us in the right direction regarding sources, this really helped us form the basis of this research. As such, we would not have been able to do this research without your help. Thank you!
