The Trans Canada Trail not only runs across the southern half of Canada, it also travels north to the Arctic Ocean – not just once, but twice – in order to incorporate the Yukon and Northwest Territories (plus a smaller segment in Nunavut)! Splitting from the well known east-west route (Victoria to St. Johns) near Edmonton, the trail returns west, traveling across Northeast BC on its way towards the Yukon.
