Allow about 4 hours to complete these 42.5k. Â The highlights include a series of greenways and parks as well as experiencing Port Moody and Coquitlam City Centres. Â The climb over Burnaby Mountain is somewhat of a challenge thus most people will need to walk their bikes up for at least part of the way. Â A mountain bike is recommended for this trip.
This portion of the Sea-to-Sky Trail features the Cheakamus Canyon, Squamish greenway, and Shannon Falls. Â Again a mountain bike is recommended. Â This ride is best done downhill starting at Cheakamus Canyon. Â There is a significant quiet road section going through Paradise Valley.

This deceivingly short distance is quite a challenge above Green Lake and should be done on a mountain bike.  It is part of the Sea-to-Sky Trail and also the Valley Trail. It takes in Whistler Village along with the surrounding lakes.  Please be reminded that this is part of the Cycle Loop c48 which may be a better way to experience this trail, especially if shuttling is an issue.
Nanaimo has succeeded in connecting several greenways to make up the Trans Canada Trail. Â Those walking should take the Abyss Trail between Extension and Nanaimo proper for a better experience. The main highlights are Extension itself, the parks and greenways, Buttertubs Marsh, Bowen Park, and the Nanaimo Waterfront.
